The strengths work in organisations and beyond

Even before the pandemic, there was a big change happening within progressive organisations as they switched to a strengths approach. COVID, along with #BlackLivesMatter, has meant many employers wanting to create more humane working environments that recognise people for who they are and that are welcoming to all.

Since I set up Engaging Minds, the early adopters have embraced the strengths approach. The switch to wide-spread homeworking and the pressure on people caused by COVID has accelerated the interest in strengths.

Our clients span many sectors, and we have a reputation for achieving transformational results for some of the best companies in the world.

I spend most of my time working with clients, and I also write and do speaking engagements.

I’m a member of the Advisory Group of the Daedalus Trust, a charity founded by Lord David Owen to raise awareness of hubris and Hubris Syndrome in public and business life. I’m a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Executive Faculty Member of Southampton University Business School.

Sally’s dedication to finding out what makes the best people tick in any organisation is ushering in a new breed of dramatically more effective talent acquisition and development approaches which everyone – employer, employee and customer – benefits from.”

“Sally’s transformational style meant that very senior professionals were drawn into the work and that change began to happen seemingly effortlessly. She takes the time to truly understand the people and the service she works with making the outputs truly insightful. Sally is a naturally creative individual who uses her skills to truly “engage minds”, with results which speak for themselves.”
